Manufactured at the request of a leading industrial chemical company, the two detergents, SDC reference detergent type 6 (with OBA) and SDC reference detergent type 7 (OBA free) are manufactured for use in procedures specified in ISO 15797:2002 (E), BS EN ISO 15797:2004 Textiles – Industrial washing and finishing procedures for testing of work wear and also in BS EN ISO 105-C12:2006 Textiles – tests for Colour fastness part C12: Colour fastness to industrial laundering.
The textile industries increased use of standard reference detergents rather than locally manufactured brands, gives consumers confidence that fabrics and garments tested for colour fastness, dimensional change, flammability etc meet the critical standard required.
To meet transport requirements these detergents are only supplied in UN approved 15kg sacks.

SDC Enterprises Limited further investment in quality Celebrating five years as an independent trading company and only two months after relocating to purpose designed new premises in Bradford, West Yorkshire, SDC Enterprises are entering the second phase of expansion plans.
This second phase will see the relocation of Enterprises existing looms to its new Pitcliffe Industrial Estate address, coupled with an immediate investment in additional looms. This follows the successful introduction of a special security thread designed to protect the SDC brand and its best-selling Multifibre product against “passing off” of inferior copies “identical to SDC”.
The very latest warping technology will be employed to produce warps with enhanced tension control in an exceptionally clean air conditioned environment.
Other immediate benefits include the introduction of a new rolling machine, backlit with an increased viewing area to enhance the visual inspection every metre of Multifibre receives prior to rolling, and extra warehousing space to handle increased stocks of detergent.
Comments Managing Director Mark Yare “This second phase of expansion will take us to another level of production capacity in an increasing market for our products, yet enable us to continue to provide customers with the quality expected of SDCE consumables”
SDC Enterprises Limited has succeeded in world markets through a unique combination of innovative products, strict quality control and a willingness to respond to changing market conditions. Its consumables for use in BS, EN and ISO test procedures are currently sold direct in over 60 countries.
Safeguarding against the risk of costly claims and litigation before manufacturing takes place and brand value has been added, consumables from SDC Enterprises Limited ensure that the end product is produced to a consistent and measurable standard. Despite extensive on site QC facilities, and with this in mind, all testing of SDCE products will continue to be carried out at independent UKAS accredited laboratories.###

SDC Enterprises further investment in quality
INCREASED demand for its colour fastness testing products for the global textile supply chain has prompted SDC Enterprises, the wholly owned trading subsidiary of the Society of Dyers and Colourists [SDC], to move to larger, purpose-designed premises in Bradford, West Yorkshire. It will leave Perkin House, home of the SDC, on 4 May 2007.
SDC Enterprises has succeeded in world markets through a unique combination of innovative products, strict quality control and a willingness to respond to changing market conditions. Its consumables for use in BS, EN and ISO test procedures are currently sold direct in over 60 countries.
Comments general manager, Lynne Ramsden: "This is a natural and logical move which will enable us to better serve our customers worldwide. We had outgrown our existing premises and needed somewhere more suited to our future expansion plans, our aim is to despatch even the largest order on the same or next day anywhere in the world."
This increase in demand follows the successful introduction of a special security thread designed to protect the SDC brand and its best-selling Multifibre product against "passing off" of inferior copies "identical to SDC".

SDC Enterprises, UK, Bradford based manufacturer of the highest quality test materials, is introducing a security thread woven into the selvedge of its world leading Multifibre DW Adjacent Fabric in a bid to protect customer and consumer interest.
Retail brands worldwide are familiar with the threat of inferior quality goods being passed off to consumers as something they are not. Similarly test consumables not of the highest quality can lead to customer rejection, retailer claims and loss of future business.
Following extensive research and testing of potential security features, SDC Enterprises have selected a thread that includes visible SDC® logos for identification and micro characters for security. Detailed testing at a number of internationally accredited independent laboratories has demonstrated the durability of design and ensures that the thread has no impact on test results.
Mark Yare (Managing Director SDC Enterprises) comments "as each piece of multifibre used for testing continues to be clearly identified as SDC, testers are able to demonstrate their use of the highest quality material to both accreditors and those commissioning the tests".
In combination with clearly branded packaging and certificates of conformity, SDC Multifibre can be identified throughout its extensive supply chain, right up to and including the final test report. Those who wish to benefit from this product, recognised as the world leader in terms of quality, can now ensure the genuine material has been sourced.
SDC Enterprises will introduce the security thread into its weaving production shortly and it will be available to users before the end of 2005. The certificate of conformity, available free of charge, will clearly identify batches of Multifibre which contain the security thread.
As an additional quality initiative these certificates are now available for registered customers to download online at www.sdcesecure.co.uk.
